The collective shadow is a powerful and highly volatile force. It is responsible for societal scapegoating, mass hysteria, and the dark historical events that occur when groups blindly project their collective darkness onto a perceived enemy. Recognizing the difference between your personal shadow and the collective shadow is crucial for maintaining your individuality and emotional intelligence in an increasingly polarized world.
The Path of Integration
If the Shadow is so dangerous, how do we protect ourselves from it? Jung's revolutionary answer was both simple and deeply unsettling: you must face it.
